The New York Jets have signed wide receiver Kyle Williams.  Williams attended the Jets' recent minicamp on a tryout basis.  Williams is a 5’10", 186-pound wide receiver and return specialist in his sixth season.  He has 47 career receptions for 574 yards and four touchdowns. A sixth-round pick of the San Francisco 49ers out of Arizona State in 2010, Williams played three seasons with the 49ers, was claimed off waivers by the Chiefs in 2013, signed with the Broncos in 2014 and missed last season after suffering an Achilles injury in training camp. Williams has returned 28 kickoffs in his career for a 24 yard average, his longest being a 94 yard return in 2012. He also has returned 21 punts for an 8.1 yard average. Any chance Williams has of making the final 53 man roster will likely be tied to his work on special teams, an area in which the Jets struggled in 2015.

To make room for Williams on the Jets 90 man roster, the Jets waived 2016 undrafted free agent and former Iowa State wide receiver Quenton Bundrage.
