Jets Sign Jordan Jenkins

Dale Zanine-USA TODAY Sports

The Jets signed third round pick Jordan Jenkins on Friday.

Jenkins is an edge player selected from the University of Georgia.

Jenkins' contract is the standard four year deal. Over the Cap estimates the total value of the four year contract to be just a shade over $3 million. Jenkins' cap hit for his rookie season in 2016 should be around $630,000.

As we have said throughout the process, the rookie wage scale has greatly reduced the potential for holdout among first round picks, but later picks were less prone to holding out anyway.

The Jets have now signed six of their seven Draft picks. The only remaining one currently unsigned is first round pick, linebacker Darron Lee. Hopefully that happens soon so the Jets will know they have all of their picks in training camp.
