How late will you need to stay up to see the Jets' first round selection? Unless there is a trade, the pick will be in by 11:10 p.m. Eastern.
The Draft kicks off at 8:00 p.m. Eastern, when the Los Angeles Rams will select their new quarterback. After that point, teams will have ten minutes to make their selection. For the Jets picking 20th, that equals a pick that will be in no later than the aforementioned 11:10 timeslot.
It is unlikely the Jets actually will be waiting until 11:10 to make their pick. That is a worst case scenario where every team waits the maximum ten minutes to make a choice. That has not tended to be the way things have played out in recent years (although back when the first round was on Saturday, teams would drag things out).
Of course, this all becomes moot if the Jets do make a trade.
