Manish Mehta reports the Jets sent their head coach and defensive coordinator to conduct a workout with a pair of Georgia linebacker prospects.
The Daily News has learned that Todd Bowles and defensive coordinator Kacy Rodgers flew to the University of Georgia to work out outside linebackers Leonard Floyd and Jordan Jenkins this past Tuesday.
As always, it is important to note that these workouts do not guarantee the Jets will necessarily draft either player. This is part of the evaluation process. The Jets might not like what they find when working out these players. With that said, the Jets are also not sending their head coach and defensive coordinator everywhere to look at prospects so this does suggest some degree of interest.
Floyd is viewed as a potential first round pick. Many mock drafts have him going to the Jets with the 20th pick. Jenkins is a potential second day selection.
