Former Cal quarterback and NFL Draft prospect Jared Goff is going to visit the Jets.
Jared Goff will visit the Saints, Eagles and Jets this week... @nflnetwork

Many believe Goff is the top quarterback in this year's Draft class. At the very least, he is a consensus top two quarterback in 2016. Because of this, he is expected to be long gone before the Jets pick at 20.
Why are the Jets using one of their 30 predraft visits on him? Sometimes the unexpected happens. Quarterbacks like Aaron Rodgers, Brady Quinn, and Geno Smith went into surprising freefalls during the first round of the NFL Draft. There have been rumblings here and there that Goff might fall further than expected. If he makes his way past 10 or so, he gets into plausible trade up territory for the Jets where they might be able to put together a package that does not mortgage their future.
