Free agent wide receiver and return man Kyle Williams was scheduled to work out for the Jets today.
The Jets are working out free-agent WR Kyle Williams today. Most recently with the Broncos. Missed last season due to Achilles tear. #nyj

Confirmed Jets are indeed hosting free agent WR Kyle Williams for a visit/workout today, as @RichCimini reported.

Williams has been part of three organizations in his six year career. He only has 47 career receptions. He does have experience as a returner with a 24.0 average on kickoff returns and an 8.1 average on punt returns, neither a spectacular average. He is probably best remembered for a muffed punt in the fourth quarter and a fumble on a punt return in overtime of the 2011 NFC Championship Game, a pair of miscues that cost the 49ers the game.
Given his injury and his limited career production, it would be difficult to envision Williams as anything more than a camp body. He could potentially be part of a competition as a returner with the other players the Jets have brought in if he is signed.
