After losing RB Chris Ivory to the Jacksonville Jaguars, Gang Green has found a replacement. According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, the New York Jets will be signing former Chicago Bears RB Matt Forte.
Matt Forte is signing with the NY Jets, per source.

Believe #Jets signed Matt Forte for approx $2M less than Chris Ivory leaving for in JAX and Todd Bowles gets better pass game contributor

Maybe former teammate WR Brandon Marshall can get him up to speed on the offense.
Forte was with the Bears from 2008 through 2015. He broke the 1,000 yard barrier in five of his eight seasons in Chicago. He is also a receiving threat out of the backfield with 487 career receptions. Two years ago, he set a career high, catching 102 passes for 808 yards in Marc Trestman's offense.
Forte's role is unclear and probably will be until the roster rounds out. Although the team lost Ivory, Bilal Powell is still a free agent for the Jets and possibly returning to the fold.
