Jets defensive lineman Muhammad Wilkerson is recovering from a broken leg he suffered in the 2015 season finale against the Bills. He provided fans with his latest recovery update yesterday on his Instagram account.
Wilkerson wrote, "Gr8 to be walking, feeling good & staying ahead of my rehab schedule. Thx to every1 for their support."
At this point, Wilkerson is still a part of the Jets. The team put the franchise tag on him. There have been no reports of the team attempting to work out a trade at this point in time. While that could change in the future, all signs currently point to Wilkerson wearing green and white next season.
With that in mind, it is good to see that his recovery is going well. Even if he does end up missing some of the offseason program, this is not really a player who needs it.
