Earlier today word broke that the Jets had expressed some interest in Adam Jones. Manish Mehta now says the Jets are out of the running for the free agent cornerback.

I can understand the Jets looking to add cornerback depth, but to me Jones was about as unsignable of a player as there is in the NFL. In the past year, Jones did his best to injure Amari Cooper. When he was last spotted on an NFL field, he helped his team lose a Playoff game by taking a personal foul penalty. In the days to follow, Jones falsely accused Antonio Brown of faking what was in reality a serious injury.
I get that talent matters, but this does not seem like the type of player the Jets need in their quest to build a winning organization.
