This is the point where I must remind you that not all rumors pan out. This is the time of year where teams put out contradictory or false information to smokescreen their true intentions.
Kristian Dyer is a great reporter. It certainly is possible the Jets could turn to Davis. Maybe it is a signal the team is pessimistic about retaining Erin Henderson.
It would be interesting if the Jets wanted to keep Davis because he clearly fell out of favor as the year progressed. After barely missing a snap in the first ten games, he got only 16 snaps in the season finale against the Bills. We will have to wait and see on this one.
