If you believe the rumours that are flying around, this one coming courtesy of Mike Garafolo, the Jets are doing the rounds looking for a cornerback to bring into the fold when the new league year gets under way tomorrow afternoon at 4pm EST.
Yes, Jets are nosing around corners of varying price tags. Checked in on Prince Amukamara, others. https://t.co/3qP6i0bLL8

The Jets spent the majority of their 2015 cap space revamping their secondary. Giving our sizeable contracts to Revis, Cromartie and Skrine. Fast-forward a year and Cromartie is no more, and it seems as though the Jets aren't all that confident with their outside options. Milliner can't stay healthy, Williams is largely unproven and Skrine is more suitable to playing inside.
Apparently the Jets have checked in on Prince Amukamara, the forner Giants cornerback who's set to hit free agency tomorrow. The very talented 26 year old has been hampered with injuries over his career, missing 25 games in 5 years.
However the former Nebraska Cornhusker does have three consecutive years with double digit pass defenses and has recorded 7 interceptions over his 5 year career with the Giants. Personally with the current state of our cap, I don't think we'll be able to afford Prince, and I wouldn't be surprised to see him return to the Giants. They can't really afford to let talented defensive players leave.
