NFL free agency rumor: New York Jets interested in Adam Jones

You know it's silly season, but here goes.

Aaron Doster-USA TODAY Sports

According to PFT, the New York Jets have shown an interest in signing Adam Jones:

Adam Pacman Jones seems to have been around forever, and that's probably because he was drafted over a decade ago. He's had his legal issues, dabbled in a little wrestling action and forged a comeback tour that led him to the Bengals in 2010, and that's where he stayed. The Jets may have cut Cromartie, but I'm not sure signing a soon to be 33 year old is the way forward. Saying that, he did have 12 pass defenses last year to go with 3 interceptions, and he's generally played pretty well over the last 3 or so years and made the Pro Bowl in 2015. You may remember that he had a costly penalty against the Steelers in the play-offs this year which helped Pittsburgh move into field goal range.
