Manish Mehta reports Jets running back Chris Ivory has drawn interest from seven teams.
As we have gotten closer and closer to free agency, I have felt less and less confident about the Jets' ability to keep Ivory. Coming off his first Pro Bowl season, he is set to cash in for the first time in his career. If the Raiders are interested in him, it might be difficult for the Jets to hold onto Ivory. Oakland has a lot of cap space.
I am not necessarily convinced making a big investment in Ivory is the best move. We see the pounding he takes. Despite overall impressive numbers, an inordinate amount of his 2015 production came in his first four games when he was fresh. As the season progressed, he had a tough time staying at 100%, and his production was much less consistent.
