Rand Getlein of NFL Network reports the Jets have some interest in Seahawks free agent guard J.R. Sweezy. They are not alone.
For OG J.R. Sweezy, teams who've expressed interest: #Bucs, #Falcons, #Lions, #Dolphins, #Saints, #49ers, #Jags, #Bears, #Jets, others.

Sweezy was a seventh round pick in 2012 out of NC State. He was a defensive lineman in college and converted to the other side of the ball. John Idzik was a Seahawks executive at the time, and I have always wondered whether this motivated him to draft William Campbell in 2013 with the same conversion idea in mind.
The Jets have signed a Seattle lineman two straight offseasons, Breno Giacomini 2014 and James Carpenter in 2015. The team has a need at guard. Sweezy has some natural ability, and he has been durable. He also has been inconsistent. I am not a big fan, but the Jets do not have a lot of money. He conceivably could be an upgrade. Then again, with that many other teams bidding, it is difficult to envision the Jets making the highest offer anyway.
