Free agent cornerback Darryl Morris announced he has signed with the Jets.
It's an honor and pleasure to have been a Houston Texan the past two seasons. I'll be forever grateful to the Texan franchise, coaches and most importantly my teammates for the opportunity to be a part of such a fine organization. Lastly, but certainly not least, the energetic and truly supportive fans, I thank you, you're a class act. Today I became a member of the @nyjets and I'm extremely excited about the opportunity and being a member of another outstanding organization. God bless you all!
Morris broke into the NFL as an undrafted free agent out of Texas State in 2013. He spent his rookie year with the San Francisco 49ers and then moved on to play for the Texans in 2014 and 2015. He was a restricted free agent to whom the Texans did not offer a deal, which made him an unrestricted free agent.
