NFL Mock Draft 2016: Jets Take Noah Spence in Latest SB Nation Mock

Trevor Ruszkowski-USA TODAY Sports

Dan Kadar of SB Nation's Mocking the Draft has the Jets picking an edge rusher in his latest mock.

20. New York Jets: Noah Spence, OLB, Eastern Kentucky

Spence is another player whose draft stock is all over the place. It's easy to fall in love with his ability to get after the quarterback, but his offseason testing numbers give pause about his chances of being a sure thing. For a player with off-field question marks, that's not a good thing.

Given the way things have played out in free agency, I am starting to feel like the Jets are going to strongly lean to either the offensive line or edge rusher in the first round. Both positions are in dire need of an influx of young talent. Of course the team needs to stay flexible. If there is a situation that is too good to be true like Leonard Williams last year, you take that guy and deal with the problems later. If there are no players who grade out at that spot, you do not reach.

I know people will say best player available, but the needs at these spots are so pronounced that the Jets might need to target these spots if there is value there. If it is close, the team might want to focus on these areas.
