The previously unknown injury might have contributed to a late season approach the Jets took.
Bowles to me at Senior Bowl on why no press cov vs Watkins: "Who's to say everybody on D was healthy to do that type of stuff in 1st place?"

#Jets CB Darrelle Revis suffered a torn ligament at some point this season, which explains why it was sore. Decided to get it operated on.

The surgery will limit Revis' participation in the offseason program. This would probably be a bigger deal for a less established player. A raw guy like Devin Smith really needs those practice reps for his development. An injury that costs him part of the offseason program might be a big deal. For Revis, I think it might be an opportunity for a young guy to get them. Revis knows how to play corner.
