The Jets had free agent wide receiver Chris Givens in for a visit today.
Formers Rams and Ravens WR Chris Givens visited the Jets today, per source.

It is tough to view Givens as anything more than a potential camp body who would compete for a roster spot if signed. He only has 31 catches over the last two seasons.
Givens could conceivably compete for a role as a kick returner as he does have experience. Unfortunately, that experience has not been very productive. His career average per return is a paltry 22.9.
If the Jets were to sign Givens, there would probably be no great harm done. He is likely to come on a very inexpensive contract. There would not be anything to get excited about either. He would likely face an uphill battle to even end up on the opening day roster.
