Yesterday reports came out that the Jets were having former Washington quarterback Robert Griffin III to Florham Park for a visit. That visit apparently did not end. The Jets and Griffin went to dinner last night, and the former second overall pick is still visiting with the Jets on Saturday.

A visit extending to a second day could be a sign there is genuine mutual interest on both sides. When the Jets have taken somebody to dinner in recent years, a contract has frequently followed.
In any event, this might get some movement one way or another in the Ryan Fitzpatrick saga. If they think Griffin can succeed on this team and can work out a reasonable contract, they are probably going to move forward rather than taking a chance with Fitzpatrick still noncommittal.
