It's very sad to see the Jets lose a player like Harrison. This a true feel good story. Harrison was undrafted out of a small school. He turned himself into a star and earned a contract that can hopefully provide for himself and for his family for the rest of his life.
For the Jets the value of the contract he got just did not match up with the amount of money he was able to get on the open market. The tremendous crop of talent the team has on the defensive line made it easier to let him go. I wish him well, though, except when the Giants play the Jets.
