A year ago, the Houston Texans traded Ryan Fitzpatrick to the Jets after they signed Brian Hoyer to replace him. The Jets are at an impasse with Fitzpatrick. The Texans have signed Brock Osweiler to replace Hoyer. Could the Jets make another deal for a Texans quarterback?
If #Jets don't land Colin Kaepernick, expect them to inquire about #Texans QB Brian Hoyer. They already traded for one #Texans QB last year

When he was last on the field, Hoyer was putting together one of the most disastrous performances in NFL Playoff history in a blowout loss to the Chiefs in the Wild Card round. Needless to say, this would be an extremely unpopular move.
I can't say I'd love this, but I am not as adamantly opposed as most people. Hoyer was more credible last year than people think, and his contract is around $5 million. At the very least, he would be a decent option for a camp competition with the young quarterbacks the Jets have.
With that said, Hoyer is one of the best of the worst. I hope it doesn't come to this.
