Here we are in day two of NFL free agency in 2016. The first day was eventful for the Jets. On a negative note, they lost Damon Harrison to the Giants and Chris Ivory to the Jaguars. On a positive note, they signed Matt Forte away from the Chicago Bears.
There is still plenty of work to be done. The Ryan Fitzpatrick situation is currently up in the air. Quarterbacks have gotten some big money already in this offseason. Brock Osweiler got $37 million guaranteed from Houston based on his 187 career passes. Chase Daniel got a deal averaging $7 million per year for his 77 career passes. It is getting to the point in the NFL where it is in a quarterback's best interest to never actually play. If you don't definitively prove you are bad, a team will throw a lot of money at you. We will have to see whether the quarterback market gains some clarity, and a Fitzpatrick resolution comes quickly.
Until then, this is your thread to talk about free agency. The GGN Twitter widget will provide you updates throughout the day.
