Free agent tight end Zach Sudfeld's agent announced on Twitter that his client is re-signing with the New York Jets.
Congrats to @zachsudfeld for re-signing with the #Jets

Sudfeld has been with the Jets organization since 2013. He was picked up after New England let him go. A torn ACL in an offseason practice cost him the entire 2015 season.
While the Jets do have a big need at tight end, this move does not fill it. Sudfield has to be viewed as more of a camp body than a genuine solution at the position. While he has the physical tools to dominate, his play has been anything but spectacular so far in his career. Sudfeld will also be 27 by the time the season starts so he does not profile as a guy who has a ton of room to grow as a player.
