Pro Basketball Hall of Fame forward Scottie Pippen tweeted out his approval of the Jets signing Matt Forte.
Jets got a good one in @MattForte22. Better to see him in green and white than green and gold.

Pippen is best known as Michael Jordan's sidekick on the Chicago Bulls teams that won six NBA Championships in the 1990's. I have never known him to be wrong about the NFL before so the Jets must be in good shape.
In all seriousness, though, this seems to be a popular sentiment coming out of Chicago. Forte seemed like a popular figure among Bears fans. They are happy they can still wish Forte well since he did not sign with their biggest rival, the Packers. I suppose it does not make a big difference at the end of the day, but it is nice to see the Jets sign a likable player.
