Potential Targets for Every 2016 Jets Draft Pick (Pre-Combine)

Tis' the season of free agents and the draft for all teams and fans of teams that aren't the Carolina Panthers and the Denver Broncos . For the Jets organization and their fans alike we have been in full off-season mode for a full month now, and with contract negotiations starting progress throughout the league and with all college football bowls and "all-star" games in our rear-view I thought I would post my first big board for the Jets 2016 NFL draft. Even the most passionate Jets fan may look at the sheer volume of names below and be overwhelmed or claim I am just copying names over. Please keep in mind this is the first iteration, and as combines, pro days, interviews and such all come and go many names will be eliminated ( or upgraded, downgraded, etc.). So to start I err on the side of too many prospects and too many options and then peel away the layers from there.

After the 2015 draft, I am confident in Macc's approach to the draft and believe several things will play out similarly in the 2016 draft as they did in 2015. I believe that he will again employ Casserly's approach to QBs and take another QB in this year's draft. I believe Macc loves to find edge rushers and employs the same strategy with EDGE guys as he does with QBs so I expect another one of the six Jets draft picks to be an EDGE guy. I believe the Jets will largely stay away from the CB position in the draft and maintain Dee/Dex and restructure Cro. Lastly I believe the Jets will take an OG (or OT to be potentially be converted to OG) in the middle rounds again, I believe Macc is on the record in the past about stock piling EDGE players and mid-round linemen (and in the mid-rounds there's more value left at OG than OT). However I did not apply any of these beliefs and bias into my listings below and again instead opted for a comprehensive list as opposed to a specific biased take on what Macc and the Jets will do.
