NFL Combine Results: Keith Marshall Shows Blazing Speed; Derrick Henry Impresses

Logan Bowles-USA TODAY Sports

Friday was the first big day of action at the NFL Combine. Offensive linemen and running backs hit the drills. Keith Marshall of Georgia was one of the big stars, running a 4.31 time in the 40 yard dash. You might remember back in 2012 when Marshall was a freshman and formed a dynamic 1-2 punch at running back with a fellow freshman named Todd Gurley. After that season, Gurley ascended to stardom while Marshall's college career was derailed by injuries.

Heisman Trophy winner Derrick Henry from Alabama also had a good day. He had the eleventh best 40 time and 20 yard shuttle for backs, the tenth best three cone drill, the fifth best vertical jump, and the fourth best 60 yard shuttle. These may not jump off the page, but consider that Henry is 6'3" and 247 pounds. How good is the ability to move like that for a man of his size?

Here are some major results from Friday.
