The Jets have already attempted to improve their pass rush by signing edge rusher Freddie Bishop III of the Canadian Football League's Calgary Roughriders. They seem to be in the market for a second CFL pass rusher.
Tristan Okpalaugo, the top CFL DE/OLB is healthy & ready to go. Received an offer from NY Jets & we're now going to visit Seattle Seahawks.

Please note this tweet is from Okpalaugo's agent. That's where the "top CFL DE/OLB" declaration came from.
He has been a quality pass rusher in the CFL, however. An undrafted free agent out of Fresno State in 2013, Okpalaugo spent time in a few different NFL organizations before taking his talents North. He posted 11 sacks for the Toronto Argonauts in 2014, which earned him the East Division's version of the Rookie of the Year award. He followed that up with a 12 sack season in 2015.
While it is unclear whether Okpalaugo will sign with the Jets, I do applaud Mike Maccagnan for pursuing relatively high upside and low cost pass rushers who have a history of success in the pros.
