NFL Mock Draft 2016: Who Will the Jets Take?

New, comments
Dale Zanine-USA TODAY Sports

Here are some recent mock drafts and the players they have the Jets selecting.

Dan Kadar (SB Nation)

20. New York Jets: Leonard Floyd, OLB, Georgia

Floyd is a player whose stock could skyrocket at the combine next week. He's a very good athlete with a good burst. He needs to get bigger than the 231 pounds Georgia listed him at last season, but he has the frame to add the bulk and power. If he's there at 20 for the Jets, he would solve the long-running need at pass rusher.

20. New York Jets: Leonard Floyd, OLB, Georgia

With explosive edge rushers Miller and Demarcus Ware mitigating Tom Brady's quick passes in the AFC Championship Game, the Broncos provided the rest of the NFL a manual on how to beat the New England Patriots. Adding a speed rusher like Floyd to complement an already stout defensive line could be exactly what the Jets need to end the Patriots' supremacy in the AFC East.

Jon Meoli (Baltimore Sun)

20. New York Jets: OLB Darron Lee, Ohio State

The Jets defensive line is plenty talented, meaning a smaller outside linebacker like Lee could see a lot of single-blocking. There won’t be a long-term quarterback solution here, and the offense is relatively solid. So the defensive-minded Jets will be more than happy to add a playmaker from the 2014-15 national champions.
