SB Nation has its first mock draft out after the Senior Bowl. This mock has the Jets bringing in offensive line reinforcements with the 20th pick.
20. New York Jets: Taylor Decker, OT, Ohio State
An upgrade over Breno Giacomini or a potential replacement for D'Brickashaw Ferguson could be found in the first round of this year's draft. Decker has experience playing on both sides and has enough talent to start early in his NFL career.
I would view an offensive tackle drafted early as a replacement for both Ferguson and Giacomini. He would be an immediate replacement for Giacomini as the likely starting right tackle in 2016. He would also be a long-term replacement for D'Brickashaw Ferguson. While Ferguson's contract status complicates things a bit, him returning to the Jets in 2016 seems like the smartest bet. Keeping Ferguson a year or two would prevent the team from needing to entrust the blind side of their quarterback to a rookie.
