There isn’t any other way to put it. The New York Jets embarrassed themselves tonight on national television. It was about as lopsided as the 41-10 margin would indicate.
It started with Jeremy Ross returning the opening kickoff to the 10 yard line, and that set the tone. We saw thoroughly undisciplined play in the form of three first half personal foul penalties. We saw breakdown after breakdown. We saw sloppy mistakes. We also so a team so listless that the television announcers were openly questioning the effort of the team.
Look, we all know the Jets are a bad team, but this was a pathetic effort. After a game like this, it seems totally fair to ask whether Todd Bowles has lost the team. This was Rich Kotite Era bad.
Leave your thoughts on tonight’s stinker below. We will have more tonight and tomorrow on a truly putrid performance by the Jets.
