Prior to their Week 17 game, the Jets vote on team awards.
Second year defensive lineman Leonard Williams took the top award, the Curtis Martin Team MVP. It is kind of difficult to figure out an alternative. In what has been a lost season for the Jets, Williams is one of the few to play up to his potential. He has 66 tackles, 7 sacks, and 2 forced fumbles while being a consistently disruptive force. He is the youngest team MVP ever for the Jets.
The Dennis Byrd Most Inspirational Player went to Dennis Byrd. The inspirational defensive lineman tragically died in a car accident in October. The Jets decided to honor him by giving him this award rather than an active player.
Quincy Enunwa won the Marty Lyons Community Service Award.
Nick Folk and Bryce Petty will share the Kyle Clifton Good Guy Award.
Muhammad Wilkerson won the Ed Block Courage Award.
Lachlan Edwards won the Bill Hampton Award, which goes to the rookie who acts like a pro in the locker room.
