The Buffalo Bills have fired head coach Rex Ryan just before the end of his second season with the team.

Obviously, this impacts the Jets in a number of ways.
Most immediately, the Bills will be playing against the Jets on Sunday with an interim head coach. If there was a way for this game to get less interesting, this was it. The Bills apparently couldn’t even let Rex get one last shot against his former team.
As an AFC East rival, a coaching change in Buffalo clearly will have some impact on the Jets. This will be a longer game. Can the Bills finally make a quality hire and make some noise?
Ryan also is part of Jets lore after coaching the team for six seasons so any news involving him has a Jets angle.
Ryan finished his tenure with the Bills with a 15-16 record. His career record is now 65-67.
