One week remains in the 2016 season. The Jets have been holding the sixth position in the NFL Draft for a while, and they maintain that spot through the weekend.
The Jets could have moved up a slot, but Los Angeles lost to San Francisco. The Titans own the Rams’ pick from the Jared Goff trade, but the location of that pick is determined by how Los Angeles does.
Jacksonville’s win over the Titans did not drop the Jaguars below the Jets, but it makes it conceivable the Jets could jump them if things broke a certain way next week. The Jets could also conceivably jump the Bears if things went a certain way. The highest the Jets could pick would be third since there is no way for them to finish with an equal or worse record with the Browns or the 49ers.
The current Draft order is posted below.
