In the biggest challenge of the season for the New York Jets, facing the 12-2 Patriots in Foxboro with an offensive line filled with backups and a third stringer starting at quarterback, it was no surprise the Jets were no match for the Patriots.
Tom Brady did what Tom Brady does, throwing for three touchdowns and zero turnovers before being relieved by backup quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo. The Jets quarterbacks Bryce Petty and Ryan Fitzpatrick did what they do, combining for three interceptions and zero touchdowns. The Patriots defense completely took the Jets best receivers out of the game, with Brandon Marshall, Quincy Enunwa and Robby Anderson combining for three receptions and 58 yards.
This was an old fashioned beatdown in Foxboro, where the Jets looked like they didn't belong on the same field as the Patriots. This makes it three blowout losses in the last four games by the hapless Jets, and one has to wonder if Todd Bowles can survive ending the season this way.
