His shoulder was pretty bad. He said he hurt it in the first quarter and he had to get shut down.

On if Winters’ injury will require surgery…
Probably, yes.
The timing of this is unfortunate for Winters. For the first time in his four year career, he put together a solid season and was looking like a quality starter. This comes right as he is about to hit free agency.
The market for Winters was already a bit murky based on the uneven nature of his play over his four year career. We will have to wait and see the extent of this injury to gauge what teams, including the Jets will be willing to bid on him.
