Last night the initial Pro Bowl rosters were announced. The Jets did not have a single player named to the team. They did not have a lot of company.
Six NFL teams did not have a single player voted to the Pro Bowl: 49ers, Bears, Jaguars, Jets, Lions, Saints.

It might be surprising to see the Lions on that list and the Saints to a certain extent. Otherwise, there are a lot of bottom tier teams, which is where the Jets are.
This is the time of year where you usually see fans get angry about which of their players were snubbed. I don’t get that feeling from Jets fans this season. It is difficult to think of many players who put together a Pro Bowl campaign, and that’s why the Jets are in the situation they are in.
Leonard Williams might be the closest to a Pro Bowl caliber player, and he was named first alternate. Sheldon Richardson was fifth alternate, but I don’t think anybody would argue this was based on anything other than reputation.
