The Jets’ loss to Miami has them standing pat with the sixth pick in the 2017 NFL Draft order. New York would hold the sixth pick if the season ended today, just as it did a week ago.
The Jets are currently tied with the Los Angeles Rams at 4-10. The Rams own the tiebreaker since their strength of opponent schedule is currently worse according to our SB Nation chart.
Of course, the Rams will not benefit from their pick. Los Angeles’ first round pick belongs to the Tennessee Titans as part of the trade the two teams made last year that allowed Los Angeles to move to number one overall to select Jared Goff.
The Chargers and Eagles sit one game "behind" the Jets at 5-9, and the Panthers could join them depending on the results of the Monday night game. The Eagles also will not benefit from their pick, which goes to Cleveland due to the Carson Wentz trade.
