The Jets trail the Dolphins 13-10 after playing a spirited first half.
The star for the Jets in the first half is Bilal Powell. Why it took 14 weeks and a Matt Forte injury for him to take on a bigger role is difficult to understand, but he is already over 100 yards from scrimmage in the first half. Bryce Petty’s default move has seemed to be to dump the ball off the Powell. The back has more than half of the Jets’ receptions, but he has also made things happen after the catch.
Defensively the Jets got off to a really good start, but some fairly ugly coverage helped the Dolphins put a pair of touchdowns on the board, allowing them to take the lead into the locker room.
