Jets vs. 49ers Second Half Thread

NFL: New York Jets at San Francisco 49ers Kyle Terada-USA TODAY Sports

The Jets trail the 49ers 17-3 at halftime.

In what was not expected to be a pretty game, the Jets played an ugly first half. Bryce Petty threw an interception on his first pass deep in his own territory, which the 49ers converted into a touchdown quickly. Petty threw for a painful 84 yards on 15 attempts.

On defense, things have not looked a whole lot better. Carlos Hyde has 141 yards through one half of play. He also only has seven carries. When he has needed a rest Shaun Draughn averaged six yards per rush. The Jets have been thoroughly dominated by what looked like the worst non-Browns team in the NFL heading into this game. If things don’t change in the second half, maybe that team is really the Jets.
