NY Jets Defensive Snap Counts: Mauldin Plays More Than D-Line

Lorenzo Mauldin got plenty of action in Sunday's loss to the Dolphins, playing more than every Jets defensive lineman.

Sunday's Jets loss to the Miami Dolphins began with defensive linemen Muhammad Wilkerson and Sheldon Richardson sitting out the entire first quarter for undisclosed disciplinary reasons.  Partly as a result of this benching outside linebacker Lorenzo Mauldin ended up getting a lot of playing time, getting more snaps than any of the Jets trio of star defensive linemen.  Inside linebacker Julian Stanford once again played every defensive snap. Rarely used defensive lineman Jarvis Jenkins saw a bump in his playing time due to the first quarter benching of Richardson and Wilkerson, while his Jenkins counterpart at outside linebacker, Jordan, was on the field for 75% of the defensive snaps.

Here are the defensive snap counts for the New York Jets loss to the Miami Dolphins on Sunday.
