NY Jets: Ryan Fitzpatrick To Start Against The Colts

Brad Penner-USA TODAY Sports

The New York Jets have announced Ryan Fitzpatrick will  be the starting quarterback against the Indianapolis Colts on Monday night.

Fitzpatrick is coming off what was statistically one of his best games of the season.  With head coach Todd Bowles apparently sticking to his guns with Fitzpatrick regardless of the team's record it is difficult to see when, if ever, either of the Jets young quarterbacks gets a start this season, barring a Fitzpatrick injury.

Perhaps coach Bowles is waiting for the Jets to be mathematically eliminated, which could come as soon as next week.  Or perhaps Bowles will simply never give a start to a player he deems worse than the incumbent.  In any event, for at least one more week it's Ryan Fitzpatrick at quarterback.  Yay?
