Jets vs Patriots Second Half Thread

Brad Penner-USA TODAY Sports

The New York Jets go into halftime tied with the Patriots 10-10.  The Jets defense came up big early, shutting down the Patriots in their first three possessions.  The Jets offense also played well early, scoring 10 points in their first three possessions to open up a double digit lead.  In the second quarter Ryan Fitzpatrick connected with Robby Anderson for  big play to the 50 yard line, only to have Anderson fumble it away to the Patriots.  The Patriots promptly marched downfield for the tying touchdown, as Darrelle Revis was burned yet again, this time by Patriots rookie wide receiver Malcolm Mitchell. Can Revis cover anyone any more?

Late in the half the Patriots blocked a 54 yard Nick Folk field goal attempt, then marched down the field but missed a short field goal attempt at the end of the half.   The Jets find themselves in the position of having dominated much of the first half play but only tied 10-10 going into halftime. The Jets will receive the kickoff to start the second half.
