Which Jets Should You Play This Week?

First Down- Brandon Marshall-Play- The Jets have a puncher’s chance in their matchup this week against the Patriots. If they can pull out a win, there will need to be great quarterback play from Ryan Fitzpatrick and Brandon Marshall needs to show up. I do expect him to have over 10 targets this week and he is one of the only Jets worthy of a start in facing the Patriots. He is on a slower pace than last year stat wise but most of that comes from the poor quarterback play. Expect the Jets to get the ball in his hands.

Second Down- Matt Forte- Play- The Patriots have only allowed 6 rushing touchdowns this year. Forte was only two yards short of rushing for 100 yards last week against a strong Rams defensive front. He has had a solid year and is due for a touchdown after not scoring last week. He is a strong RB1 as he can catch the ball out of the backfield for extra points. The match-up against the Pats isn’t the best for him, but looking around the league he presents a running back who we know will have a lot of touches.

Third Down- Ryan Fitzpatrick- Sit- No surprises on this matchup. Bill Belichick knows Fitzpatrick has been extremely turnover prone and know show to jump on opposing quarterbacks. The Jets will be putting the ball on the ground a lot to start the game and eat clock. There are much better matchups around the league if you need a QB, Ryan Tannehill against the 49ers or Marcus Mariota playing Chicago are better alternatives, to pick a few who come up often in trades and waivers.

Fourth Down- Jets Defense- Sit- We have all seen what Tom Brady has done this year to opposing defenses. I would stay away from the Jets defense this week. Not much upside as they will want to chew clock and keep Brady off the field to win. Tom Brady does not turn the ball over often, and that is how to score big points in fantasy. Be very wary of the Jets D this week
