This Sunday as the Jets take on the New England Patriots at MetLife Stadium, the team will be hosting its second annual Bullying Awareness Day.
As part of the event, the Jets will be donating $35,000 to STOMP Out Bullying and will be presenting the check on Sunday at the stadium.
The team will also be unveiling a new public service announcement featuring players in STOMP Out Bullying’s No Matter campaign on video boards in the stadium. There will be 100 teachers, staff, and students from Memorial Junior School in Whippany as part of the event, and the team will continue naming an Upstander of the Week program, which features a student who has helped somebody being bullied.
You also can help. The Jets are donating a dollar every time somebody uses hashtag #JetsTackleBullying on Twitter and Instagram between now and Sunday. The team will donate up to $10,000 as part of this.
Let’s all do what we can to cut down on bullying.
