Jets Bye Week Fantasy Focus

Who Should You Pick Up to Start for the Jets on a Bye?

The Jets have a Bye Week so I wouldn’t personally recommend starting any Jet this Week. Instead below are some Fantasy options you may want to look to this week if you need some production during their Bye Week.

First Down- Kenny Britt for Brandon Marshall- Kenny Britt is still available in a lot of leagues (63% owned and trending up) and is 11th in receiving yards this year. He gets good looks in the Red Zone due to his size and with Jared Goff starting this week, a large receiver is always a good safety blanket. Look for him to have a handful of catches and to be effective in PPR Leagues as Goff will be getting the rookie QB treatment including lots of roll-outs and short passes.

Second Down- James Stark for Matt Forte- Green Bay will look to expand James Stark’s role this week as they face the Redskins. The ‘Skins defense is allowing an average of 115.2 rushing yards per game. Stark is getting scooped off waiver wires quickly this week as he is a great pick up and start. The Packers will give Starks an opportunity to run the ball against the weak run defensive front of the Redskins. I expect at least one rushing touchdown from him- the Redskins have allowed the league most rushing touchdowns this year.

Third Down- Corey Coleman for Quincy Enunwa- Corey Coleman could be the perfect replacement player for Quincy Enunwa as he faces the Pittsburgh Steelers. He is owned in 56% of leagues, which gives you the chance to grab him. He came back last week from a broken hand and will be given more targets this week. Pittsburgh’s defense is fifth from the bottom of the league allowing an average of 278.1 yards in the air each week. If the Browns have any chance to beat the Steelers they will have to pass the ball well. Coleman will be a big part of the gameplan.

Fourth Down- Dallas Defense for the Jets Defense- The Jets defense is on a Bye, so we can all breathe easy, this is a weekend we don’t have to worry about giving up another long pass. Dallas faces Baltimore this week, and Dallas is clearly the better team right now. I expect the defense to play well as Baltimore has struggled of late. This match-up is a safe pick if you are looking for a defense to get the job done.
