Following a weekend that included three of the top-five teams falling to unranked opponents, Week 12 is sure to add even more confusion and uncertainty in deciding the College Football Playoff. Here's a list of the best games to watch and players to look out for. All times are Eastern.
(16) LSU hosts (23) Florida at 1:00 PM on the SEC Network. This matchup is being held 42 days after it was originally scheduled and was moved to Baton Rouge after the original game was postponed due to Hurricane Matthew. LSU is coming off a 28 point victory over (25) Arkansas, while the Gators had a bounce back win against South Carolina, following an upset loss to unranked Arkansas, 31-10. The player to watch in this game is LSU RB Leonard Fournette. Fournette reaggravated his ankle injury against Arkansas last week but is likely to play on Saturday. LSU will need the 1-2 punch of Fournette and sophomore RB Derrius Guice in order to penetrate Floridafs fifth-ranked rush defense.
(10) Colorado hosts (22) Washington St at 3:30 PM on FOX. Washington St has won eight games in a row, while the Buffaloes have won six of their last seven. Colorado is coming off a statement win against Arizona, but they havenft defeated any ranked opponents. Washington St defeated Cal in impressive fashion last week, 56-21. The player to watch in this game is Washington St QB Luke Falk. Falk is second in the nation with 361 yards per game and he earned his 23rd career 300-yard game last week. Another 300-yard game will give the Cougars a clear path to victory.
(14) West Virginia hosts (9) Oklahoma at 8:00 PM on ABC. West Virginia won a tight matchup last week against Texas, 24-20 and their only loss this season came against Oklahoma St in Week 9. Oklahoma is coming off a big win against Baylor, 45-24 and currently has a 7-game winning streak. The player to watch in this game is Sooners RB Samaje Perine. Perine ran for 242 yards with 4 touchdowns in Oklahoma's last matchup against the Mountaineers. If Perine can put another performance like that on Saturday, the Sooners will extend their winning streak to 8.
