Jets vs. Patriots Flexed Out of Sunday Night Timeslot

NFL: New England Patriots at New York Jets Jim O'Connor-USA TODAY Sports

The Week 12 game between the Jets and the Patriots was originally scheduled to be NBC’s Sunday Night Football game of the week. It has been flexed out of that timeslot. Instead, the teams will play at 4:25 p.m. Eastern on CBS.

The game between the Chiefs and the Broncos will appear on NBC in primetime instead.

This can hardly be categorized as a surprise. The game between the Jets and the Pats is much less appealing than the league figured it would be before the season started, and it is mainly because of how bad the Jets have been. The Patriots have held up their end of the bargain, but New York’s 3-7 start have this game looking like more of a mismatch than the battle of division rivals who both won double digits a year ago.

The Jets still have primetime games against the Colts and Dolphins remaining on their schedule.
