Darron Lee, Bruce Carter and Buster Skrine were all inactive for Sunday's game against the Cleveland Browns due to injuries. With the Jets out of options at inside linebacker backup Julian Stanford became the unlikely recipient of 100% of the defensive snaps for the game, the only Jet to do that. Also seeing increased playing time was outside linebacker Lorenzo Mauldin, who at 86% of the defensive snaps outpaced Muhammad Wilkerson, Leonard Williams and Sheldon Richardson. Cornerback Daryl Roberts also saw a jump in his playing time. In the absence of Skrine, Roberts was on the field for 68% of the defensive snaps. Disappearing from the game plan was nose tackle Steve McLendon, who received just 32% of the defensive snaps for the game.
