Sunday Night Football, week 5. Tonight we have an NFC matchup between the New York Giants and the Green Bay Packers at legendary Lambeau Field in Green Bay, Wisconsin. The Giants come into the game after a huge offseason spending spree with a 2-2 record. The rebuilt defense has struggled the last two games. The offense is led by a clutch quarterback in Eli Manning and a trio of good receivers in Odell Beckham Jr., Victor Cruz and Sterling Shepard. The disappointing defense has an old familiar face in the middle in the person of Damon Harrison, who is playing well. A loss in this game would put the Giants below .500 and turn up the heat on embattled Giants GM Jerry Reese.
The Packers come into the game uncharacteristically struggling on offense. All World Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers has not looked right all year and the Packers passing attack is shockingly hovering near the bottom of the NFL. After an off year in 2015 Rodgers' slow start in 2016 is beginning to raise serious concerns in the land of the Cheeseheads. Nonetheless the Packers have managed to get off to a winning start to the season. At 2-1 the Packers look to stay within striking distance of the NFC North division leading Minnesota Vikings.
