Fantasy Football Advice for the Jets This Week

Here are four fantasy options for the Jets with advice on how to use them heading into Week 5.

First Down- Bilal Powell - Play- Last week I had him as a sit, as I was expecting a bigger role for Matt Forte. In the middle of the week we found out the Eric Decker would be out and Chan Gailey increased Powell’s role in the offense, especially in the passing game. He was targeted 9 times in the air, second to only Brandon Marshall. If you have a running back coming up with a Bye Week Powell is a great pickup. He is only owned in 22% of major Fantasy Leagues and if you are playing in a PPR league he will continue to be featured in the air this week against Pittsburgh.

Second Down- Brandon Marshall – Play- For a good amount of last week's game it looks as if Richard Sherman was outmatched by Marshall. He burned him at the end of the second half for a touchdown. Marshall ended the game with 4 catches for 89 yards on 12 targets. He will continue to be the focal point of the offense and clearly Fitzpatrick will force him the ball. which could be a good thing for his owners in fantasy. With Decker possibly out again, Marshall is an easy play as a WR1.

Third Down- Matt Forte – Sit- It is always tough sitting a starting running back. but if there was ever a week to do it, this is it. Against Seattle he had five rushes for 5 yards in the second half. With the emergence of Bilal Powell and Forte possibly banged up, I would recommend sitting him Week 5.

Fourth Down- Robby Anderson – Sit – Robby Anderson is coming off his most targets as a professional. He was targeted 6 times, only one less than Enunwa. Anderson gets a sit this week, but if you are looking on the waiver wire in a 12 or 14 team leagues he could provide you with a boost going forward. It is unknown when Decker will suit up again. Anderson only had 2 catches on his six targets ,but he’s worth keeping an eye on.
